Membership
Comann Eachdraidh Eirisgeidh (Eriskay Historical Society, CEE) was formed in 2010 by, and with help from, members of the Eriskay community to “identify, collect, preserve and display documents, artefacts, photographs, genealogy and other materials of historical value to both the Eriskay community and visitors”.
In 2019, CEE were granted funding to purchase the former school building which closed in 2013. This building was a large part of the island’s history as it was not only a classroom for school children, but it also held many wedding receptions, ceilidhs, parties etc and it has been a consistent backdrop to community life on the island.
Please consider joining Comann Eachdraidh Eirisgeidh as an annual member where you will receive updates on this community led redevelopment through our community newsletter, social media and website updates.
All membership types receive in the post a membership card, fridge magnet and twice yearly newsletters.
*Only Full-Time Eriskay Resident Membership will have voting rights when required.
The individual membership fee of £15 is payable on joining and thereafter it will renew annually.
Junior membership is free for those 16 years & under - please read further information below.

Should you wish to cancel at anytime please get in touch up to 1 month prior to your renewal otherwise payment will be taken for the following year. Non Eriskay Residents
Associate Membership - Individual
15£Every yearAssociate Membership is open to any individual who resides outside of Eriskay. This membership has no voting rights.- 1 Person Membership Plan
- Non Resident to Eriskay

Junior Membership

Junior membership is available for those under 16 years of age and is free.

Junior members who are resident of Eriskay are not entitled to vote but may elect one representative who will have power to vote on their behalf as one of member charity trustees.

Junior members out with Eriskay are not entitled to vote.

Once a junior member reaches the age of 16 years he/she, if wishing to remain a member of the Society, will need to apply for full or associate membership.

The principle aim of Comann Eachdraidh Eirisgeidh (Eriskay Historical Society) is to gather and preserve our heritage and culture and to promote an interest in the history of the area constituting the island of Eriskay, along with the nearby islands in close proximity.
